“It’s beginning to look at lot like no-time-to-make-my-kids-lunch-mas
Everywhere you go
take a look in the fridge and pantry, empty once again
with grocery lists and packaged snacks missing

It’s beginning to look a lot like no-time-to-make-my-kids-lunch-mas
Time to buy lunch
You’re going to save money, you’re going to save time
But most of all, the kids will eat a nutritious meal”

Ah yes, it is that time of the year. End of the workday, no time to make lunch. Luckily, we, the food services department, can help.

The Food Services Department at GUSD invites all families to prepay for school meals online at myschoolbucks.com. You can have the confidence knowing that we are part of building wonderful healthy habits for your sweet kids!

Our nacho sauce is homemade with vegetables (celery and onions!) and REAL cheese. All our grains are whole-grain rich. Our sub rolls are freshly baked in-house with no preservatives, no stabilizers, no conditioner, and no artificial ingredients. Our sauces are made in-house with vegetables. We are working towards procuring quality ingredients and creating menu items kids love, and dietitian (and mom) approved.

We work tirelessly as we would if we were inviting you over to our home for thanksgiving. We are moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and your neighbor. We care about your child if they were our own. Thank you for trusting us with providing a nutritious meal for your child.

We wish you a happy and healthy school year,

Kim & Food Team

Your comments, compliments, suggestions and concerns are always welcome. GUSD participates in the National School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program.
