Notice of Public Hearing: Disclosure of Proposed Collective Bargaining Agreement

The District has reached tentative Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) with California School Employees Association (CSEA) Chapter 311 for fiscal year 2018-2019. The agreement includes a change in compensation and Government Code Section 3547.5 requires that the public is made aware of the costs associated with a tentative collective bargaining agreement before it becomes binding on the District. The law established the attached document, known as Assembly Bill (AB) 1200, as the vehicle to details these costs, and substantiates that the District can meet the financial obligation of the CBA, including certification to this affect by both Superintendent Lewis and Chief Business Official, Conrad Tedeschi. The CBA and accompanying AB 1200 calculations effectively cover all classified employees except classified managers, directors, confidential employees, substitutes and summer school employees.

A public hearing is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on February 6, 2019
Goleta Union School District Office Board Room
410 N. Fairview Ave, Goleta, CA 93117
